I need advice on finding a High School teaching job.?

I have an English secondary education degree (I graduated in May 05). I have been looking online, no luck. I have sent out many apps, but only two interviews. I live in northeastern Illinois and I really don't want to relocate to another state. I'm wondering if anyone has advice. Thanks!
